I used to go through these patches where I was so down I couldn't cry, but every little thing would make my throat close up like I was going to. To the point where the doctors thought I had some kind of obstruction-type thingy. I fixed it by putting on the saddest blues-type music I own (and I own some seriously blue music) and just listening to it until the dam broke. 'Cuz crying over a song is somehow okay, I don't know why, maybe because it's just a song. I always looked worse the next day but somehow felt, I don't know, purged? Seriously, though, crying has positive physical effects, even if it makes you feel tired. Science says so!
