It took me about two days too long to figure this one out. Quicktime was just NOT reading the .sub files correctly, I was getting subtitles for about every 3-6 lines of dialogue and that was after installing a patch.
VLC was offered as an alternative player, but the download I grabbed didn't work. Then I discovered that the computer already HAD VLC. I tried running it with the subtitle file added in the options, to no avail. I gave up for the weekend.
Today I thought "Hmm. How old is this version anyway?" and checked for updates. Sure enough.
One update and reset of preferences later, it works! I can now watch SM 1-166. I was on episode 140. AND! I got the SS movie too!
Now to find the remaining 134 episodes.
