The Cuteness has a hamster.
She asked for a pet "for her very own" since Jazz-cat has declared me His Human and still thinks Cuteness is part prey. I considered getting another cat, but decided against it. Allergies are still a thing and the asthma attack I had Friday at work was appropriately scary.
I'M FINE!!!
So we went out Sunday and bought Cuteness a Fancy Syrian Hamster in black and white, along with a fancy cage with a floating wheel and a tube and a petting area/storage box, along with real pine shaving bedding and pet shop recommended food and chew toys.
The hamster is named Mia. We do not know if Mia is male or female, only that Mia was the smallest of the group.
Jazz Cat is VERY INTERESTED IN THIS NEW THING and has been kicked out of Cuteness' room indefinitely.
Cuteness is a Very Good Pet Owner. Mia came with her to my room and she has had adventures in her sparkly green ball of roaming. Mia does NOT like being handled, we shall see if that changes with time.
Mia squeaks. She's a chatty hamster. I'm just hoping she escaped the suicidal tendencies of my brother's Golden Hamsters. We shall see.
