So much for that gig

Nearly six full days of work for Adecco/JP Morgan broken out over two weeks. It couldn't have come at a better time, really. We really needed the help with the car payment and getting the furniture bill completely caught up. Next up, Sam's club! Whee!

I'm told there's another peak time due in about three weeks, after the first of April. The first shift supervisor agreed to call me back, so keep your fingers crossed. With any luck, I'll be able to do the time. Heeheehee.

Seriously, I'm glad it's done. A shift of four days, one day off, then two more days, all but one with overtime, was harder on me then I thought it would be. Case in point. Came home tonight and dozed off for about ten minutes in the chair, then after the kiddo was in bed laid down on the couch and sacked out for about an hour and a half. Once I'm done with this update, I'm heading right back to bed. Everyone in the house agrees I need a two week vacation to just rest. Boy, this carrying a baby to term thing is harder then I thought!

I'm in what I'm calling the 'red zone' with the pregnancy. It was right around this time, 32 weeks, when I went into labor the first time and delivered two weeks later. I caught myself counting contractions and chugging water during the last two hours of work today, while at the same time making contingency plans in my head for getting to the hospital if I couldn't reach any of the family (everyone was running around this afternoon: Wolf was at work, Drya & her eldest were at the doctor's, S and Mom were getting her new car, leaving C at home to watch the kiddos. NOBODY available to come get me right away). I had it all figured out. Either have someone at the office drive me over or call an ambulance, then get ahold of Adecco and have THEM call Wolf's work, as I don't have his work number and our new cell phones don't work in either place of business. Once he was notified, he could go ahead and call Drya, who was my ride today, cause my cell phone was dead, dead, dead.

Note to self: memorize the new cell phone numbers!

Queenie is a logistical person. For any given situation, she likes to have at least two plans of action.

But right now, the only plan is catching up on sleep. Night, everyone!
