Well isn't this interesting.
Doing some online research into bedroom ideas and I've quickly realized I need to be a lot more specific in what I'm looking for. So I've done another breakdown.
Romantic Feminine:
This is Queenie wanting an adult version of the English Rose Garden bedroom she lusted for as a child. Floral bed set, lace curtains, canopy. This scheme will probably not fit with her current bedroom furniture in dark wicker, as she is not giving those up. Probably. May be proven wrong.
Pagan:
Something that says "This is a room for sex!" without screaming it to the hills. Which means animal print, crushed velvet and deep fringe is right OUT. This is proving difficult. The sexiness will probably need to be subtly incorporated. Although I did find a glow in the dark star-studded canopy that I am seriously considering.
Subtly Romantic:
Not as overtly feminine as the RF listed above. I found two possible comforter sets that would work with my current furniture, one floral and one bamboo-ish. Which would speak well to the Pagan aspects, as bamboo is one of the fastest growing plants on the planet. HAH!
I am taking comfort in the fact that I am not getting weepy looking at bedroom sets, which I WAS when venturing into a Big Lots earlier today for more research. I know why I was getting weepy, changing the bedroom is another Sign Wolf Is Gone for Good! We picked our current theme out together, you see. On the other hand, it was to replace the blue floral comforter set I had my first round as Single Mom and coordinate with the carpet headboard we had bought, which has calligraphy on it. That headboard is staying downstairs to serve as a heavy-duty curtain/insulator for the East wall. So, I'm technically free and clear as I will not have a headboard to speak of.
That glow in the dark starry canopy is really, really tempting.
