Jagon.
I sat back, watching Sari intently. Even now, with her response to my message ringing in my ears, she kept her face calm. But she couldn't keep the truth out of her eyes. I pulled my sunglasses down my nose, deepening the strength of our locked gazes. She blinked, then smiled. Extending her free hand, she walked to the edge of the stage. Her smile lit up the room and her eyes glowed bright green. I smirked. Not bad, old man. Now, how much farther could we take this tonight? I mulled over the possibility of getting her up to my suite.
Thunderous applause broke me out of my fantasy, which had progressed well beyond the realm of polite company. I joined in, fighting down a serious blush. Sari took the time to bow before walking off stage. A Chrono Crusade exorcist jumped on stage and started "Vogue". Poorly. I sighed, knowing it was impossible to hope that everyone who signed up could sing. Sari sat down beside me and snitched some of Nick's drink.
"That was really good!" Janny gushed. Flesh nodded, fiddling with his muzzle. Doc turned the camera on her.
"So, what now?" He asked, watching her on the screen. Sari leaned over and grabbed Nick's ear.
"Hey! Ow ow ow ow ow!" Nick tried to pull away, but she hung on and leaned in.
"I'd find another place to sleep tonight, vampire. Otherwise you might not wake up due to a stake in your heart." She growled right in his ear. Pinching him once more for good measure, she shoved him away. Nick rubbed his ear and glared at her. Doc was snickering, Flesh muttered to himself and Janny just stared. Sari stood, planting both hands flat on the table. "Now, if you will excuse me." She turned and walked out. I glanced at everyone.
"Go." Nick said, still rubbing his abused ear. "Just be gentle, ok? She's my ride home tomorrow."
"Don't worry. I'll make sure she's well taken care of. Good night, all." I stood, shook hands with everyone at the table and walked out.
Doc closed his camera.
"I don't suppose there's any way one of you could sneak this into their room tonight." He said, looking around. Janny and Nick slapped him upside the head, knocking him into the table. "OUCH! What is with the violence all of a sudden?" The exorcist finally finished her song to little applause and wobbled back to her table.
"Ok, Ken! Ken, report to the stage!" Flesh stood up. He took the microphone and started "True Light". The original. The trio at the table whipped around, disbelieving. Ken knew Japanese??
