Gods Above And Below!
Feb. 18th, 2018 10:25 pmOk, I have no idea how long it’s been, so let me summarize.
Teenager has reached his majority for the USA, so he is now Major. Major failed to keep his end of his senior trip bargain, so instead Queenie is getting the trip of a lifetime.
Cuteness is still Cute and puberty has hit her Ike a freight train. Her boobs are going to be bigger than mine. *SIGH*. Unfortunately, she’s not coping well and is lashing out at adults and schoolmates alike. She’s gotten so physically aggressive she’s been suspended at least one day a week for the last month. This is not cool, not right and I’m at my wits end trying to get her to just follow basic social rules she can parrot back to me every morning. We’re looking into chemical options.
Work continues to have All The Stress. The Problem People are leaving/have left, but the department is being rolled into a new system that makes us more productive but likely will take away the schedule flexibility we’ve been enjoying. I said I would stay with the department until the bitter end, whatever that might be. I can hear the wolf charging to my door. It’s a good thing I like wolves.
Finally, the Trip of a Lifetime. I’M GOING TO JAPAN!!!

I’m going with Nomad the Physicist a week before his summer physics meetings. We’ve already reserved a gorgeous house in Kyoto and I have to wait until June before I can book the onsen and a few events through Airbnb.com. Also need to figure out how to get to Cafe Swallowtail, since we’re only passing through Tokyo at some point.
I will be blogging about this trip, because OMGS JAPAN!!
This year I also turn 40, which is my justification for OMGS JAPAN!!!
