*yawn stretch*
Mar. 4th, 2004 01:36 pmSo much for training. All I needed was the first two hours. Everything else was for adjusters, of which I have no part. So I was back at my desk by 1130 and popped in for one final note a few minutes ago. I'm all done! No more training for the new system, yay! It's incredibly simple. Like it or not, windows-based databases are simpler and easier than DOS-based. Instant info plugin, or as they called it "flood". Everything is basically talking to everything else and in a month or so I'll be using the new system almost exclusively. I'll keep the DOS system open for the files that always get stuck.
*big yawn* Boy, do I miss coffee. I haven't had any all week because of my throat. I might have to go get some in a while. Or tea. Or one of my "office mochas" (hot chocolate powder mixed with coffee). Mmmmmmm mochas.
Yes, I'm tired and bored. I'm also fighting off a headache that kicked in about 10 am and hasn't really gone away. The bastards removed all medications from the first aid kit, now I have to bring my own. *grumble* I've narrowed the cause down to either the weather changes (drop in atmospheric pressure sometimes gets me) or eyestrain. I did a lot of scrolling through game archives yesterday. Lots of text rolling by, argh. The pain likes to localize itself right between my eyebrows. *rub rub rub*
In other news,
Um, I can't think of anything else. Hope to sign the new lease this weekend. Want to go lie down with a cold washrag over my eyes. Ow, my head.
Only two hours and 45 minutes left. I can do this! I have to, my timecard has already been turned in for signing. I think I'll just close my eyes until the phone rings.
