always comes before the dawn.

No, I still don't know if I have a job. HR is supposed to make up their minds today and will inform me either today or tomorrow. I have been assured by my sup that I will have advance warning if I'm not picked. Which is nice, it will give me time to clean out my desk and delete all my personal stuff in this comp. Which reminds me, I need to email First Date and First Con to my Keep account so I'll have them.

The good news is we won't be short on rent. *whew* Wolf does get a full check for unemployment insurance because it's a continuation of a previous claim, not a new one. That + coffee = semi-cheerful Queenie. I've come to terms with the anger and hurt pride, now I'm ready to wait and see.

Life is good.

Surprisingly quiet for a Monday. *shifty eyes* I guess this Virtual thing is working. Haven't had half the normal "I called this in Saturday night and I was told I would have a call back in 24 hours and now it's MONDAY..." nonsense. Which is good, very good.

Oh, I guess I should post the weekend schtuff, huh? Not like anyone really gives a damn. Really. I know. I don't expect anyone to.

Saturday was spent sitting around the house until about 130, at which point we packed the kiddo up for a weekend at Gigi's and dropped him off. Went food shopping. Got a call as soon as the food was put away. Brother in accident, come get the child. Whokaaay. Call back as we get in the car. No, he's not in the hospital, he's still at the scene. Doesn't appear to be hurt, but we know how these things can go. Car isn't drivable, so Dad has to go get him.

*blink blink*

My brother is 22. Still lives at home, but is trying to get his own place. And you don't want the kiddo. Right. I understand, Mom panicked. She's very, very good at that. Wolf expressed the opinion she shouldn't be so damned obvious about who her favorite child is. I've known since I was 10 she prefered my brother. Yes, 10. As in for the past sixteen years. But I digress.

We pick up our son, head home, have dinner and veg until bedtime. Call t'other grandma and inform her of change in plans. Have some quality "us" time. Fall into bed.

Sunday

Get up, eat, send the kiddo off to Grandma's. Do two loads of laundry. Spend the rest of the day lounging on the couch or chair watching TLC. Kiddo comes home with a Happy Meal, Grandma was kind enough to call and ask if it was ok first. Bless her. Finish up the laundry, watch more TV, get the kiddo in bed. Hop online for a while, watch a little more TV, call it a night.

So, yeah. Uneventful. Exactly what I needed.
