Ten minutes.
Nov. 24th, 2004 07:37 amSpeed fingers GO!
Going down to the AR for Thanksgiving. I feel better about it, though still not 100%. But it's better then the alternatives.
Waiting to see if my direct deposit kicks in this week. We see money on Friday, we move Saturday/Sunday. We don't, it's next week when we'll have two paychecks and the DD should kick in that week as well. Cross your fingers for this Friday.
Job proceeding nicely. I was put in charge of arranging lunch for the office today. 160 people at less then $8 per. Subs, veggie AND fruit trays, and dessert trays. I rock. Boss said I can have the job of ordering food if I want it, she hates doing it. Also finally got my database access, now I can clean out some of these files. Did initial sort of one box yesterday, depending on what we're supposed to do with them, I'll either hold off on sorting the second or go ahead and increase my piles o'paperwork.
Fact: Denver gets more weather then CS.
Fact: Queenie is poorly equipped for winter weather.
Fact: Queenie needs her own comp.
We have a temp system set up (Bran loaned us his g3). It'll be about 50 to repair the G4, Joe is a scavenging whiz and top dog on Ebay. He can get us the power supply and install it. Everything else looks ok. Given that fact, a laptop and AirPort base might be the better way to go. It'll be about 500 more then replacing the desktop with a G4 Imac, but it'll also give us mobility and that has already proven to be an issue. Everyone else in our group has laptops. Can we say Zerg-Squishing? Huh, huh, can we?? *poing* Gods, I hope so. I always wanted to do that.
Time.
