For the past two days, I've been catching 30 minute catnaps on one of the reception chairs with the large stuffed Nemo my boss keeps at her desk as a pillow.

Nemo was missing this morning. I have to stay awake! *grumble, growl, shuffle*

Actually, I'm doing pretty well. I have the dreaded handbook copies started, need to check on them soon and restock the copier with paper. Then it's the packets and handbook inserts, then cannibalizing the returned disclosures and THEN I can actually start working on Monday's disclosures. Welcome to the mortgage business. *blink blink, yawn, stretch* Owie.

Didn't get anything done last night. Heh. Meant to unpack the altar, ended up doing some chatting online and watching tv with Wolf. Erg. I still have to call the w/d rental place and get that set up. Then finish the daycare paperwork. I need coffee. Ugh. I may take my last Starbucks coupon and go get a grande of what's on tap. I hate Starbucks espresso. Their regular coffee is good, but the espresso always tastes burnt. Always. I have yet to find one that doesn't.

Ok, time to go check copies.

*refills paper trays, comes back*

I expect about two more trips like that. Hmmm. Merlin the Betta wants to be fed. I guess I'll feed him. He's a sweet fish, I almost have him acclimated to me to where I can touch the glass and he won't dart away. We have this game where I wiggle my fingers at him and he wiggles his fins. It's so cute. Did I mention this entire office is fish-themed? Nemo is the mascot.

Yes, I'm easily entertained! *feeds Merlin*

I REALLY want to get back into First Love, but I am so stuck. I want this to be the most romantic scene I've ever written and, well, you have to be in the MOOD for romance to blossom from your fingers. *salutes Gurney* Plus I've lost the entire thread of the storyline. Oh well.

Another hour of OT and that'll be it for the week. I got the distinct impression OT is frowned upon here for temps. But if that's the case, when I specifically ASKED my sup if I could count the time spent on copies as OT and mark it on my timecard, why did she say ok? She also said I could take a two hour lunch or go home early, it was entirely up to me. So I told her I'll take the money, gods know we could use it, and she said "Fine." Yet, when I go back to her desk this afternoon just before Jess leaves, they're both saying how they don't count OT because "It's too much of a hassle." Too much of a hassle to make sure you get paid for what you're doing. *shrug* I put in productive time, I bloody well better be compensated for it.

As it is I'm going to be busting ass to get the rest of Tuesday's and all of Wednesday's disclosures out tomorrow. That's MY goal. Jess did about a third of Tuesday's this afternoon. I spent about...*counts* 7 hours on Monday's. Wow, it really was all day. Yeesh.

Nope, not going to get as many copies done tonight as I wanted to. Time to cut losses.
