Queenie made a friend!!
Aug. 11th, 2005 07:46 amSurprised? Yeah, me too. Finding an honest to goodness friend, one I don't have to hide from RL is rare for me. I tend to freak people out. If it's not the witch stuff, it's the vampire fascination, the dabbling in BDSM, the talking to myself, the casual discussion on ways and means of killing people, the politics or the occasional lapse into fangirl.
All that being said, a recent temp addition I have affectionately nicknamed "Koi" for the uber-cool fish tattoo on his arm, and I hit it off last Thursday when we engaged in conversation. Since then, we've visited each other's houses briefly, had two lunches together, had serious witchy discussions (he's a novice looking for more information and some guidance) and he's text-messaged me while drunk. ^^;; That's a first. He's also a flaming queen. This works in so many ways. I haven't had a serious friend outside of ST geeks and online buddies since...wow, three years, and those friends were either chaos-ridden or simply emotionaly immature. Koi is a little chaotic, but he's also my age and I've noticed in general that my age group tends towards chaos, like they haven't completely settled down yet. I am an exception! *beams*
Anyhew, all evening last Friday I felt something powerful moving around inside of me and realized that I had found what I had been looking for. A friend. I'm so thrilled I've had to fight tears on occasion.
