*examines sparkly nails*
Jul. 16th, 2006 08:08 amWell, at least it's subtle.
I think this is the first time in...oh, 10, 15 years?, that my fingers and toes artificially match.
*remembers she has vanilla-scented body glitter in a convenient brush dispenser*
It must be the heat.
Gotta be the heat.
I'm not used to 100+ days out here.
Yes, the dry heat has fried my brain.
Only explanation for wanting to make myself sparkle from head to toe in the middle of July.
For a con, on Halloween, glittery is fine.
But for a Sunday down in the Springs? In JULY??
*scrambles to find her 'Beware of Female Pervert' J-List tank top*
EDIT:
Back from the Springs.
Dead Man's Chest = Meh. Must read Kandybar's ending re-write at some point. Loved Davy Jones, though. His tentacles glowed red in the sunlight!
Olive Garden lunch = usual problems with salad dressing, very good soup and very good coffee. Mmmm. Italian coffee.
Gender-type browsing = I actually tried on about six different pairs of heels. Survey says the first ones were the most comfortable and flattering. Don't go higher then a two inch heel or your calves stick out too much and ruin the lines of your legs. Wolf found a better sound system for Sherzi and a nice Yamaha home theater system. Plus we tried out the various home theater set ups and one kick-ass gaming chair that has sound speakers built into the back and a sub-woofer in the base to rock your world while you play. Sadly, it was not set up for playing. One of the most comfortable chairs I've ever sat in and it's suede!! Yay for gender-specific stores next door to each other!
Ok, so that takes care of the high heeled shoes itch *shudder* and the nail painting itch. I better not be getting any more girly itches or I'll have to have my head examined.
In other news, the ex sis-in-law gave me a messenger bag for work. It's denim with some blue sequins in a floral pattern and it's a Lei. *gasp* I'm carrying a name brand bag!! It's also smaller and more sensibly designed then the blue nylon beach bag I was lugging around from last summer's temp job. It's not as geek-chic as the messenger bags on J-list, but I'm not complaining.
Still need the Totoro bento box, the Soot Sprite keychain and the Blue Seed phone charm.
Oh yes, and Wolf's plushy CatBus. And a few cigars for him too.
