Finally saw Labryinth.

David Bowie has a very sexy singing voice.

Jennifer Connolley is a cutie.

And I almost feel sorry for the J/S shippers out there. Sorry, folks, I don't see the love. What I saw was a desparate Prince of Dreams trying to stay alive and being shot down by his Dreamer. Although the threat to turn Hoggle into a prince of stench if Sarah kissed him gave me pause.

If I had seen it in my teens, I would've been right up there with the doey-eyed dreamers saying "You idiot! Take him!" I also would've been scared of the goblins. *shrug* I'm a wuss, I make no bones about it. As an adult, Labryinth comes across as a coming of age tale against the fantasies musical protests.

I feel oddly disappointed and at the same time justified. It WAS all a trap.

Loved the music. Now I'll have to find some more Bowie. The opening song sums up how I feel about Wolf, actually...
