In which I totally fangirl out.
May. 2nd, 2008 02:57 pmIt's May and apparently that means summer movies. I was already excited about Iron Man, which Wolf and I will see tonight. (After I shook my fist and yelled at the NPR review for calling Tony Stark "too many layers that add up to a whole bunch of nothing". It's TONY STARK. He's COMPLICATED. At least they gave Pepper her due. Gwynneth! Yay!) I'm also jonesing for Speed Racer and am seriously tempted to try and dress up as Trixie, just cause. Even if the racing looks more like Matchbox tracks then cross country.
I already knew about Batman, Dark Knight (is that the title?), and can't wait to see how Heath plays Joker. I personally prefer Nicholson's over the rest, so that's the standard I'll be holding Heath to. ^_^
Indy 4 I will go see, if we can, but I'm not as eager as I am with the previous movies. Yes, I love Indy, always have, but let's face it. Harrison's getting old, it's time to pass the fedora. And yeah, Shea Lebouf might be just the kid to pass it to, since River's long gone. *sigh*
But...but...is it true? Hellboy 2? With Perlman? Really and truly? Because I just LOVED the first one, the sheer romance of it all with Hellboy and the Fire chick whose name totally escapes me.
Now, if Marvel really wanted to rock my socks off, they'll get a good script together and start working on Dr. Strange. The Master of Mysticism has gone too long having his story told in cameos and the occasional made for video movie. I need me some Strange! With the hot demon chick and the arch enemy, who's tailor made for Tim Curry.
Lessee, who would make a good Strange. Any suggestions?
