We were outbid on Hodgepodge and the bastards qualified for a conventional mortgage.

That's TWO NOW!!

*grumble, mutter, sulk*

Wolf's pulled a few other properties, we did a quick driveby of one this morning as it's about half a mile from the shop. It needs paint. A full exterior coat of paint. Sellers probably won't be interested in that, plus it's on a state highway and right next door to the local gas station. Meh.

There is one that made Wolf's ears perk. It's a Med-style ranch in Endwell, about midway between our respective jobs. Only one bathroom, but the bedrooms are pretty big and there's archways everywhere. Wolf hearts archways. He's going to arrange a viewing, if not with our agent (who's going camping sometime this weekend, possibly as early as today, she wasn't clear), then with the seller's agent. We don't have time to sit on our hands while our agent tramps in the woods or along a lake. We want to be moved before school starts and with NY's 6 week required wait for closing, we're already pushing it.

Baby girl went in for her well-toddler checkup yesterday. She's 20.3 lbs, 30" tall, healthy as a horse and smart as a whip.

Dr. Monroe played the clapping game (you clap once, Cuteness claps once, you clap twice, Cuteness claps twice, etc. I've gotten her up to four claps) with her and reportedly was very pleased.

Cuteness also received the last of her shots until kindergarten. She got them in the arms, since she's walking now, and didn't make a sound. Such a brave girl! Oni-san has been known to start screaming BEFORE the needle goes in.

Wolf did the honors yesterday, so I heard all this last night after work.

Finally, in Queenie tooth news, I am on regular old pain pills and it's not hurting. *sigh* I'm rather disappointed, I was enjoying the Vicoden. Which bothers me on a fundamental level. Wolf says I'm in no danger of addiction, I haven't been on the stuff that long and besides, you were on it before and there wasn't an issue.

Yes, but I was more emotionally stable two years ago when the wisdoms were yanked.

I'm healing nicely, I shouldn't complain.

But I don't want to feel anything right now.

So I call a customer to say "Hey, car's done!"

And I get "We lost the key."

The key to the loaner that the customer backed into another car with (no damage, thank the gods) because said customer can't handle an ML, but that's all I had to give her and oh yes! This customer wasn't supposed to get a loaner in the first place because they didn't buy their car from us.

Did I mention it was the only key we had?

Yeah.

Told customer to keep looking.

Got another call a while ago. "I still can't find it, this has never happened to me before." Yeah and I suppose you've never backed into a car before either. Ok, you said you had, but at this point, I'm beyond caring.

"Can we get a key made?"

"Made? Sure. If we call MB up, order one, wait a week and oh yes, those keys start at $90."

"Well, we might have to do that."

"Keep looking."

No, I wasn't that snarky. I gave lots of possible hiding places for the key in said car, since said key freaked out said customer with its strangeness. It's the switchblade style, woooooo.

I have to tell The Boss all of this when he gets back from lunch and watch him flip out again.

Customer can't find the key, customer pays for it.

But I still feel responsible.

I picked a bad day to get off the Vicoden.
