It's all Paula Dean's fault.
Sep. 16th, 2009 10:33 amSeveral months ago Food Network Southern Belle Paula Dean was on "Wait, Wait, Don't Tell Me!" where she described the Once in a Lifetime Burger.
This is a burger using two Krispy Kreme doughnuts for a bun.
I, personally, despise Krispy Kreme and am very glad I'm now in a state that's exclusively Dunkin Donuts. However, the idea of combining two very different flavors, sweet & savory, is something I haven't pursued in any great detail until recently.
For the record, a fried egg sandwich using a blueberry bagel is scrumptious. So is the same bagel and roasted red pepper hummus. Mmmmm.
On a totally unrelated note, IDK has decided he likes walking to school versus Mom driving and is using my terminology, "I'm out!" when he's leaving. *is amused*
