So at 4:30pm today, Wolf calls and asks if I can pick up pizza and meet them at Mama A's, since I have the checkbook and it's such a nice evening. I say "Sure."
Not ten minutes later, I have to call a customer to inform them that they have to come fetch their car, we don't have drivers available to deliver. Said customer freaks out and demands that someone be here when she comes in, doesn't know when that will be. So I agree to stick around. Then I call Wolf to tell him the situation.
"Ok, I'll come get the checkbook," He sighs.
"I'm sorry!" I apologize.
"Yes, I know. We can't make any plans," He grumbles, before hanging up.

When the HELL did I become the stereotypical man in this relationship?!?
The irony of this is trying to make me laugh, but I'm too upset to do more then chuckle resignedly. I know what I'm doing tonight technically isn't in the job description, but it makes for happy customers in the long run, and happy customers are repeat customers, so, there.
Is it because I've had to do this so often this month? It's not like we don't need the money, cause we DO. I got the Friday before Memorial Day off, and I intend to email my boss Monday to inform him I'm leaving early on Friday, June 3, so we can get to our honeymoon faster.
I feel so guilty right now. Guilty and frustrated and sad because he's upset.
Wolf did call me back a little while ago and say he got cash from Mama A, so I can just come down when I'm done. I managed to not cry on the phone, but I was choked up and I'm getting all mmisty while writing this.
In somewhat related news, I got invited to join NOPW, which is the professional branch of NOW (or something like that). I was quite surprised to get the letter, and then Athena started howling in my head, so I went ahead and registered. I doubt I'll use it for the intended purpose, but hey. It'll look good on a resume, right?
