TIred Queenie is very tired
Oct. 17th, 2010 04:39 pmWent up to RBD's yesterday, w/Cuteness and sans IDK, after much drama Saturday morning. Drama included finding out IDK decided sticking the keys in the Subaru ignition would be an interesting thing to do, and then lock all but one door, thus causing two bouts of yelling from Mom. Fortunately, it being a standard, he couldn't do anything like, oh, TURN IT ON. *headdesk*
Further drama occurred after we get to the bank to transfer funds (don't have new account checks or card yet, WTF?) and get to the dealership to pick up shiny new car. While unloading all the schtuff that needs to be transferred, Queenie realizes Wolf's ring has once again fallen off the cord Bu made.
Cue panic attack.
Three different Nissan staffers go looking for the ring. No such luck. We get everything transferred, I refuse the free "how to make Bluetooth work" for the time being, (shaking like a leaf not conducive to electronics), load kiddos and A into the shiny new Nissan and take A home. At A's house the Ipod connectivity is figured out, whoot.
Back to the bank, still no luck finding ring. They take my information and promise to keep an eye out.
Head off to Looooos, drop off IDK, briefly show off shiny new Nissan, and head back to the house.
And find the ring sitting in the driveway, shining away.
I scoop up the ring, kiss it several times, run inside, put it on a herringbone link gold chain I have and clip THAT around my neck, grab some snacks for the road, grab some entertainment for Cuteness, hop back in the car, back partway out of the driveway and suddenly remember.
Hey! IDK deleted RBD's message from last night without listening to it because he is 10 and has very little common sense! I have to call her!
So I do, and we agree to meet at her place around 2 pm. Cool.
We drive down, making sure to stop at the Panda coffee shop for drinks and to lose some time. I put in a quick phone call to Dad, and puzzle over what to name my shiny new Nissan. It's bright blue, has the full sport & geek package, and has the CVT, so it goes great guns without the shuddering of older transmissions.
Tardis was considered and promptly dropped. Too obvious.
We get to RBD's, she's not home. So Cuteness and I hang out at the sandbox until they arrive. It's a little chilly, but I find a good sunbeam.
Chezzie shows up a little while later, with hugs and a contribution of super-protective twine for the ritual. We have a nice visit, then scout out locations. RBD's mom has already said, "Anything you need!", so when RBD shows me a nice spot behind RBDM's house, overlooking the path to the fence and the forest, I nod and say this is good. Easy access for those who can't walk, plenty of good light exposure and it won't risk the house in 20 years. RBDM assures me it's not a problem.
Chezzie then has to leave, as she's not feeling well. Neither is Cuteness, who had slept part of the way down and went down for another nap before Chezzie arrived. Cuteness stayed down until after 8 pm, when dinner was ready. She did get up to eat some roast beef and then she and His Highness both went down before midnight. I discovered Cuteness was running a real fever, so she got some meds before bed.
RBD and I are up until after 2 talking. I had happened to find a novelization of Alien3, so I took that to bed and read for another 20 minutes. Needless to say, I had survivor-horror dreams last night.
Up by 9, kiddos were up not long after that, and by 12 it was time to go. Cuteness did eat two bowls of applesauce, a bite of french toast, and two small helpings of mac-n-cheese, along with five cookies on the way home. Which is more then I ate.
More later.
Edit: Later!
Get back to Looos zoned from the road and eager to be Done With It All. Pick up IDK and head over to Party City for costumes for Halloween. IDK wants IM2, no problem. Cuteness needs something cute to go with her rainbow butterfly wings, I pick up a pink dress that lights up. It is cute. IDK's is too small. *sigh* Will have to exchange sometime this week. Possibly Wednesday after work.
Head over to Weis to shop. Buy an extra gallon of milk I didn't need, plus some ice cream we all need. Must remember to drink milk with every meal for the next week. Will need to actually cook a few days this week. *sigh*
I had soup for dinner, Cuteness had the cheese out of a cheese sandwich, plus two bites of peanut butter and jelly made on the same bread. IDK made mini-pizzas. Cuteness was too tired to eat ice cream nicely, so IDK ate both portions. I will have my own ice cream later.
I did get a cat nap in between laundry batches, but it's not enough. I will be going to bed early tonight.
Get home, do laundry while watching the Jets win against the Broncos. J! E! T! S! Jets, Jets, Jets, Jets!!!!
