So, that performance review
Jan. 28th, 2011 07:29 pmIt amounted to the following:
You're doing a good job.
You're getting a raise.
You need to educate yourself more.
Please, please, please become a notary public.
The guys in the back spy on you because they don't believe you do any actual work, yes, as your boss I do know better, but there it is, and then get bent out of shape when they see you online reading Japanese stuff (FF.net, actually. AT LUNCH. I do admit to checking LJ in the morning, and that bothers them too), so for everyone's peace of mind, just stay off those sites during the day. No, not even at lunchtime. You can check your personal email, but that's it.
So I'm now making a dollar more an hour then I ever have, and I've lost my lunchtime entertainment because of over-sensitive male egos.
Well. I've been putting up with their nonsense for over three years. I can make this relatively small adjustment in my behavior and keep any online perusing to looking into certifications on computer management and IT classes. If The Boss is paying for them, might as well take advantage, ne?
