A Six Inch Gash in the Middle of My Soul
Mar. 21st, 2013 02:45 pmIn preparation for the weekend and at least one guests, possibly three, I decided today would be the day I would clean the downstairs.
I started in the Ritual Room. I cleaned the altar, the Quarter Plates and swept the floor to pagan music. Changers Fire and Celtic Sunrise make me cry.
While sweeping up, I went behind the big leather chair and found the jewelry box and small suitcase Loooo loaned me. She loaned them to hold Wolf's ashes.
...
I cried again as I put them in the closet and finished sweeping. I broke out my October broom and danced around to Lord of the Dance, spinning and twirling the broom like a baton.
By the time I lit the incense to finish the job, I was exhausted and sad. It had taken me an hour. I made myself eat some lunch, kept working on the laundry, and spent about an hour curled up on the couch under a blanket and cuddling my stuffed black wolf and eating gummi worms while watching Animal Planet.
I intend to get the kitchen cleaned up tonight after the boys get the dishes done. The living and dining rooms might have to wait for tomorrow morning.
I am still exhausted and sad. This has been an emotionally draining week. I'm not really looking forward to turning 35, but I am looking forward to the Tea Party. Cuteness has decided she needs Irish Cream Creamer for the party. I am amused.
