So I survived the first day live.
Sep. 20th, 2013 09:29 pmI wanted to jump in and start answering phones YESTERDAY, but stuck with their program.
All that being said, by 10 am I was on the lines answering calls and after lunch, I was flying solo with occasional shout outs for help as needed.
SQUEE!
The rest of the phone staff find my enthusiasm equal parts cute and sad. Sure, I'm cheerful now, wait until I get the dismissed patient who won't shut up for thirty minutes and refuses to listen that they can't come back.
ANY dismissed patient is better then the ex boss. Scream at me all you want. You're not the one signing my paycheck.
The best part about this is I am under Federal Law, ergo, my assistance is limited and I can't go beyond that. There is immense satisfaction in knowing I can say "All I can do is take a message". I have to. It's The Law and there's no one who will scream at me for doing my job correctly. Well, okay, eventually someone will. But I will have THE LAW on my side, not a mercurial owner driven exclusively by profit. The Law.
