Tired Queenie is Tired
Dec. 3rd, 2014 09:28 pmThis working 12+ hour days is for the birds. Sadly, my stupid peacock tail, my OWN stupid peacock tail, not anyone else's TYVM, agreed to pull this shift five more times this month, three of them next week.
GNYAH!! *claws face*
My left ankle is definitely injured, don't know how, am getting it checked tomorrow afternoon.
I am a sorting Queen, I got one dictation set organized from A-P in about an hour to 1.5 hours. The other set is going to have to wait until next week when I'm back at the walk in, which is where I was tonight working an extra 4.5 hours and where I'll be doing all my overtime this month.
At least New Year's Eve the walk in closes at 6, so it won't be as bad. Maybe. It depends.
I had a peppermint mocha latte during my 4.5 hour shift. I'm at that tired-yet-buzzed stage. I'm hoping I can get to sleep before midnight. We shall see. My supervisor says I'm doing a Fabulous Job and she's Very Proud of me.
In totally unrelated news, I realized today that if I ever date again, it will NOT be a gamer. I am not a gamer. I played one for several years, but it is not my thing and I'm tired of pretending otherwise. I'd rather listen to jazz and cross stitch, or watch documentaries while crocheting then play video games. I'm not going to have the energy to do any tabletop gaming this month, perhaps never again. I'm becoming quite the homebody fuddy-duddy and I really don't care.
SLB is not going to like this. Oh well.
