It says something about me,
Feb. 17th, 2015 09:58 pmThat upon coming home to an empty house, my first thought is, "Now if only I had a cat to greet me and come sit on my lap after dinner."
Yes, I miss my kiddos, but I am enjoying the weirdness of being alone, of having the television all to myself, of having the computer all to myself, to only having to feed one person and leaving the dishes for Another Day Because I Am An Adult. I did go out and clear the front steps and salt them and was rewarded with mail that included our Magic Express luggage tags.
Tomorrow I will do the rest of the dishes.
Being able to watch whatever I please, I've finished "Kaze no Stigma", a very interesting anime about elemental magic users. I groaned at the romantic subplot, because I could see it was a Bad Idea and the head of the household is a HORRIBLE matchmaker. Still entertaining and some cute costumes too.
Now I'm watching "My Pet Monster", which is a teenage romance. Normally I need my romance heavily laden with mechs or magic or Stopping World Domination, but this one is cute. An Ice Queen Study Bug (Study Bug would have been a cute nickname for me in school. *sigh*) and an Impulsive Slacker Genius Troublemaker. Study Bug has a lot to learn about relationships. Genius Troublemaker also has a lot to learn about relationships. It's adorably dysfunctional without anyone getting seriously hurt or making me want to throw things at the screen yelling "KISS HIM/HER ALREADY!" I'm looking at YOU, "Rurouni Kenshin".
A lot of anime has been removed from Netflix Instant Queue. I'm thinking of making Friday night my Kung Fu night and watching all the IP Man movies and/or Godzilla. I do wish Netflix had "Kung Fu Hustle" on Instant Queue. I remember that was funny.
