Dancing with Cipro
Aug. 30th, 2015 05:17 pmwill leave you curled up on the couch for two days whimpering and sleeping and eating the BRAT diet.
Thought I had a UTI brewing Friday, so I left a half hour early and was seen at the Walk In. The PA was overly dramatic in a sweet sort of way, rather like my Cuteness. Makes one wonder. The dip was negative, but the last time THAT happened, I had E. Coli in my bladder, so yeah. Best to be proactive.
Not with Cipro. I took my first dose Friday night, the second Saturday before going shoe shopping for the kiddos. I made it through the shoe shopping and was planning on meeting Looooo for tea.
I made it home, barely. Then declared myself Done For the Day, put myself on Rice, Applesauce and Toast (I hate bananas, the B in BRAT) and spent the rest of the day miserable. I was able to drink two glasses of Kefir, my preferred probiotic intake, as long as I didn't use it to take the Cipro or Bad Things Would Happen. Well, Badder.
Today I got up, gritted my teeth through the grocery shopping and got a call from the Walk In. "Everything's negative, stop taking the Cipro and follow up with your doctor." Huzzah!
I already had an appointment scheduled for Tuesday, first thing, to discuss the marked increase in migraines I've been having. I will ask about this as well. I'm sad to say I expect it's stress. It's 8/30, 30 days before Wolf's death anniversary. I haven't been on my Zoloft for over a month, which is good! I tend to emotional misery starting well, about now until February. I have bought full spectrum light bulbs, I'll be putting those in around the house once school starts in a few weeks. I don't want to go back on the Zoloft, we shall see how it goes. If I start pricing plane tickets to India or calculating how hard I have to veer off to slam into a cliff, I'll go back on them. I don't want to be where I was two years ago.
