The door remained closed. Windsong looked down, rubbing her hands on her skirt.

I'm...wearing my lab coat. Oh, that won't do! Something else, non threatening. Hmmm.

Concentration. The lab coat flowed and morphed into her favorite cloak, burgundy with gold frogs. A simple green dress replaced the broomstick skirt and tie-dyed tshirt. Nodding, Song reached out and knocked again. The door slowly creaked open. Song stepped to the threshold.

'Shira Lexx. May I speak with you, please?'

'Who are you?' The voice was cold, arrogant and harsh. Windsong breathed deeply, calmly.

'I am Windsong. A Terran. I am here to warn you.'

The door vanished. Lexx appeared, bat wings spread, his blue robes flapping around him. He looked intimidating, Windsong sensed it was deliberate. Taking two steps forward, she held her hands out, palms up.

'I see your wing grew back. I'm glad.' Lexx frowned.

'How...how did you know?'

'It was found by a group of scientists. I was part of that group. They know you're here, Lexx, and they're looking for you.'

'Found? By scientists??' Lexx's demeanor changed for arrogant to panicked. Windsong held up her hands.

'Yes, but they don't know who they're looking for. There have been sightings of strange creatures all over the world and I've heard them talking about possible alien presences. These scientists are part of a powerful agency, Lexx. They will not stop until they get their answers.' Lexx stared at her, trembling. 'If there are others here, aliens who are playing the game, they must be warned as well. That's why I attempted this contact. I don't want to see anyone captured by the agency. They're as bad as the dice managers.'

'How...how do you know about the game?'

'Riane told me.'

'Riane?'

'Yes.' Windsong flinched as Riane appeared beside her. 'Wind Song is a natural telepath, Lexx. She used to only talk to the dead. I showed her how to reach you.' Lexx gaped at both women. Windsong felt buffeted by emotions; fear, confusion, hints of despair and a strong longing for...

'Forewarned is forearmed, as we say here, Lexx. If you can contact the other players, do so. They need to be very careful when catching their dice, otherwise they will find themselves a target. I don't want to see that happen.'

'Can't you stop them?' Lexx asked, his fists clenching. Windsong shook her head.

'I am no longer part of that agency, Lexx. I left so I could warn you. The system could make me disappear as easily as you put your dice into stasis. I was an assistant, a low level worker. Expendable for the sake of security.' Lexx started pacing. Windsong and Riane waited patiently. Finally, Lexx turned back to the women.

'I thank you for your warning, Wind Song. I will inform the others to be extremely careful.'

'My pleasure, Lexx. If you have any questions, please, feel free to contact me. I will do my best to assist you. I will also offer you sanctuary if you or your friends need it.'

'You...are most generous, Wind Song.' Lexx seemed taken aback by the offer. Song moved closer to him, one hand extended. She very lightly touched his arm. He flinched, then looked at her, into her eyes.

'Take care of your love, Shira Lexx. To find someone like her is a rare and precious gift.' She whispered. Lexx swallowed hard, nodded. Song stepped back and curtsied deeply. 'Until the next time.' Song rose, turned and walked away, finding herself back in her own mind. Riane smiled at Lexx.

'Good rolls, Lexx. And good luck.'

'...Thank you. Riane.'

'Thank you.' Riane faded away.

*cheers*
