I'm kinda old-school w.r.t. FF. I want my Dr. Doom to be the dictator of Latveria and to have gotten his scars from a failed experiment in college that Reed Richards tried to warn him about. He wasn't part of the crew that went into space and he doesn't have lightning-shooty powers. I don't care if that's how they "re-imagined" him in Ultimate FF or whatever it's called. Old school! Old school!
And I liked "Superman Returns" as a modern homage to the 1978 film, but it should have been braver, like "Batman Begins" was. Maybe he should have fought a giant spider... because they're the fiercest killers in the insect kingdom.
