Much like Spirited Bureau, this has taken a life of its own. I'm just along for the ride.
Ami watched Miss Sarah thoughtfully as her Mercury Computer did a full body/energy scan on the gaijin. The two had left the meeting so Ami could scan the entire family. Miss Sarah leaned against the wall, staring into the middle distance. Ami finished the scan and compared it to the results from Marc and Becca. She nodded at the conclusion.
"Miss Sarah?"
"Yes, Ami-chan?" Miss Sarah blinked and focused on the bluenette. Ami held out her free hand.
"Your translator, please?" Miss Sarah cocked her head. "Um." ~Your...device?~ Ami tried in English.
"Oh! Yes." She pulled the pink and purple device out of her pocket and handed it over. Ami did an analysis on the device and gasped. "Miss Sarah, this...this is..."
~Advanced technology?~
"No. Very similar. I wonder..." Miss Sarah grinned as Ami knelt and put the device on the ground. A slight flick of wrist and a cable appeared in her hand. She plugged the cable into both devices and started working. Ami looked up when she heard footsteps. Mamoru waved as he walked over.
"What's up?" He asked. Miss Sarah waved at Ami.
~Ami-chan is showing me her mad skills. I expect she's either downloading all the information on my phone, or she's uploading some kind of instant translation program.~ Ami's gaze darted between them. Mamoru grinned and translated. Ami promptly blushed.
"How did she know?" She muttered.
"I understand you best, Ami-chan," Miss Sarah said, winking at Mamoru. The blue computer beeped. Ami unplugged the cable and handed Miss Sarah her phone back.
"From what I can see, she's not only traveled through space, but time. Her computer's information is from 2013. However, it appears that certain programs are still able to function in our dimension with our current technology. The telephone function is completely disabled, as are most of the games, but the map, notebook and calendar functions are intact. I'm surprised the computer hasn't synched its clock and calendar program with our technology, perhaps its not backwards compatible."
"2013!?!" Mamoru gasped, taking a few steps back. Miss Sarah sighed and tucked the phone into her pocket.
~Why do I have the feeling things just got more complicated?~
