bloodsong1Few things are stranger then waking up from a dream where one is a nursemaid to Princess Elizabeth 1 while fighting off the attentions of Henry 8 and being brutally honest with my charge about her father and what she can expect now that Anne Bolyn is dead.
"Will this happen again?" Elizabeth, referring to Anne's death
"At least once more. But don't worry. YOU are the Heir Apparent and nothing will change that."
"Even if a son is born?"

"Surely you wish to know the pleasures of the night?" Henry, trying to seduce me.
"I already know the pleasures of the night. I was married for seven years and my nights were EXQUISITE! I prefer those wonderful memories over anything you could do!" Me, knowing full well that eventually I would get curious and have one night with him. Thankfully I woke up before that!
