I haven't done one of these in a while...

So I made quick drop biscuits for breakfast today, because I wanted them. It worked so well I decided to make another batch for dinner. I had already taken some boneless skinless chicken tenders out to defrost, and wondered what would be a good chicken and biscuit combo, since I didn't want to fry.
Oh! says I. I could do a spin on biscuits and gravy! And I have enough frozen bones and stuff to make a good stock!
Hunting through the freezer, I found a rotisserie chicken carcass. Sweet! says I. I dumped the carcass in my biggest pot, added the last of the celery and one of the giant carrots, both cut in large pieces, covered everything in water and put it on the stove to boil and get happy.
A little over two hours later, I checked the stock. It was delicious! So I grabbed my deep skillet and started the sauce with a roux. I cooked it until it was just starting to smell toasty, then added several ladlefuls of stock and about a cup of goat milk. Whisking that to smooth, I chopped the chicken breasts into largish bite sized pieces and dumped it in. Salt and pepper and I let it simmer while I made the biscuits. I still had some leftover sauteed veggies, so after the biscuits were done, I heated those up in the microwave.
The drop biscuits I made in my muffin tin so they'd be puffy and not flat. I also only made 12, the morning batch was 20 and there were two left by dinner time.
Voila! The kids liked the chicken and biscuits and didn't fight me over the vegetables. Huzzah!
What to Eat?! Queenie's attempt to cook like her husband. There are no guarantees.
I'm still researching Osaka's International Airport and transport to Kyoto, since the ancient capital doesn't have an airport. Huzzah for Japanese public transportation!
