Believe me, I understand. Between the fact that almost every major loss in my life took place in the fall and the onus of working for the Postal Service at this time of year, I hate the holidays. With a passion. Throw in my birthday falling mostly on Yule and not even being able to relax then because you can't take time off in December, and I'm just all kinds of pissed off this time of year. I feel old, and I look old. I'm just hanging on until after New Year's when I can take some time off and decompress a bit. And maybe catch up on a boatload of housework that needs to be done. I want a cookie. Someone get me a cookie!
