Scene: Cafe table. The tablecloth is pumpkin orange trimmed with leaves. The cushions look like acorns. True Blue, in her usual suit, is reading the yellow book with a fancy silver tea set. Sarah comes in, black skirt under a snuggly blue robe. She sits down and pours herself a cup.
Hot chocolate?
"Spiced the way you like it. 'Tis the season." True Blue sips from her own cup. Sarah cradles hers.
The Event Sheet helped.
"Yes, that was important." True Blue closes her book. "You needed the external reinforcement that you were having a normal emotional reaction to a stressful situation. Are you still missing Wolf?"
Yes. True Blue nods and drinks more hot chocolate.
"What about SLB?"
Not so much. He really is too volatile for me. I need an oak tree, not a forest fire. He's not going to like hearing that, especially after last week's conversation.
"Forest fires are useful in their own time and place. You may be a fire sign, but you cusp so much with water."
There's irony there.
"Irony is everywhere."
True. Sarah drinks. True Blue taps the tablecloth with a blue fingernail.
"Are you going to take out your fear?"
Not the way Mowgli does, not yet. I'll call West in Circle from now on and I'll work with Water directly, one on one.
"A good idea. See? You've got this."
I'm not you, yet.
"You will be, in the right time. You've come a long way, baby."
Yes, I have. They toast each other.
