I'm scared. Very, very scared. I don't want to face these people on Saturday for someone I don't miss as much as they do. Nor do I want to lie. But not going will look worse and yes, for the sake of my roommate, I'm willing to put forward the "good face". So I'll go, keep an eye on the kiddo, and prop up a wall. I'm good at that.
As for the ex, the enforcement agency can't do anything without current contact info. So I have to find someone willing to give it to me. *sigh*
On a more positive note, the job hunt has taken a sudden spike upward. I have two appointments with temp agencies; one tomorrow afternoon and one Friday morning. Whoo hoo! Two professional references I have in writing, no less! They're over two years old, but it should work. *happy happy*
