Waiting for the Friday night mad rush to start. There are a few bits of paperwork I could do. Buuuuuutttt. *grin* Considering the zaniness that has been my day today, I think I'll just sit here and enjoy the quiet. For a little while, anyway.

Let's see. What else happened today. Lots of calls. Twice as busy as it was, yeah, almost all week. Speeds your concept of time, which is helpful.

One of the coworkers thought it would be funny to imitate his voicemail. Backfired because I can't pull out from the vm system. So I released the call and he was left looking silly to one of his desk buddy's customers. He tried to scold me for being unprofessional, which I took exception to and informed him of the system quirks in an email. I was polite, as always, and he apologized.

Was criticized on my parenting skills for reading a transgender magical girl comic on said comic's forum.

Uh huh. Right. Yes, a four year old will have a lesser opinion of his mother because she enjoys magical girl manga and discussing gender issues. Or will not be able to grasp reality. *pinch nose, shake head*

Oh, look. Here comes the rush.

*Ten minutes later*

Yeah. So anyway. After thinking of several not-so-nice things to say to this person, I decided merriment would be my best response. I laughed. And asked what was the world coming to with a child that was tolerant, respectful and nice to everyone. Then I thanked them for the laugh. *le sigh* Unsolicited opinions on parenting in a magical girl manga forum. Pity.

A few hours later, I realized my toes were numb. Not good! Stomping my feet didn't help at all, so I went to the bathroom, took off my shoes and socks, hopped up on the counter and proceeded to run lukewarm water over the piggies. I'm pretty sure I grossed out my old sup, because she was giving me very odd looks, then less then five minutes later, the assistant manager comes in and heads right for me. Turns out the women's locker room has a shower with a handheld head. Isn't that nice. By then my toes were responding to nail-pricking and red with faint hints of purple. Better then the white I was seeing. So I hopped down, dried and re-dressed my feet and went back to work. I'm still cold. *grumble*

So, all in all, rather odd day. Very ready to go home. Still have an hour.twenty. I want a smoothie.
