At least two of my LJ friends are somewhat concerned for the health and well being of my family.

For the record, I was the one who consumed about a tablespoon of Dawn. It does not help the flavor of rice any, let me tell you. Really don't know HOW the Dawn got into my lunch, but further pondering leads me to believe that it was in the container when I made it up yesterday and given the darkness of the kitchen, I simply didn't see it. Didn't smell it either. I thought the rice tasted a bit funny because of the lemon juice I had squeezed all over it. I was about 3/4 done with my lunch when I take a bite and get nothing but soap. After much coughing and EW-ing, I look and see blue rice. A rapid mental inventory of the chemicals under my sink and I come to the Dawn conclusion as it was the only thing thick and blue in the general area and even heated, still contained more viscosity then the Jet Dry, which is also blue. I called Poison Control just to be on the safe side.

Writing about this is bringing the taste back into my mouth. Gotta love sense memory!

Nope! Mild nausea and a bit of a migraine and three hours later I was fine.

That's good to know that no overall harm was done.

Now don't do it again, young lady!

Soooo, my guess that you were just drinking cups of the stuff was closest? Woo!! *holds up hand for a high-five*
No? Nobody.

Glad you're all right, though. If you killed yourself with accidental soap poisoning, who would do those costumes with me?! D=

Heh. The Poison Control lady said something similar. I explained my mother preferred the wooden spoon and green peppers method, to which she said, "Oh! You must be Italian!"

For the record, Mom's family hails from Scots-Ireland and Poland.
