At least, it will be for me, which is surprising in and of itself, not that I'm complaining, mind.

Samaritan Counseling is faith-based and very flexible for non-insured who need psychological care. I had my first session tonight, after the lady in question went home because she had lost her appointment book and forgot to transfer me to the main calendar, which resulted in her coming BACK into work, in the snow, at 6 pm, after I had been sitting in the office for over 20 minutes. And I was concerned that _I_ had been late. At least I had the gumption to go FIND someone in the office and say "Hi! I'm here!"

I made it VERY clear I'm Wiccan. She wasn't fazed. Whoot. She confessed to being "very shocked" that I was 32 and widowed. I felt obliged to remind her that with two wars going on, young widows aren't so uncommon anymore. Yeah.

So, for $5/session...

Yes, you read that right.

FIVE DOLLARS A SESSION

I have grief counseling for as long as I need it.

I love being a Witch.

Yay!

I'm glad your found a good provider.

If the faith-based thing turns out to be a problem you could try The Family & Children's Society They are not faith-based and they also have a sliding scale. I was only charger $5 a visit when I was going there. I'm not saying that you should change providers, just that if you run into problems there are other low cost options.
