You've learned Skill: Painting Ceilings
One would think I wouldn't be so bloody tired after painting three small built in bookcases and a strip of ceiling. IDK was pretty helpful Saturday afternoon and again this morning, but I still ended up doing about 75% of the work. This is not surprising, really. He now has four bookcases in Optimus Prime red, although the raw wood ones weren't primed first, (HAH!) and the wood shows through in places. The flat part of the ceiling is a nice blue, excellent for putting glow in the dark stars up when they arrive around the 14th.
This is not all the bookcases in the room, btw. He was unwilling to move the Encyclopedia Britannica set to paint those shelves, and there's gaps around the ceiling fan and spot lights, and there's patches of paint overlapping areas that weren't taped off because, well, I didn't CARE and neither did he. I intend to be much more careful in MY room, once I get the time and the energy to get his stuff moved upstairs.
I woke up about four times last night, once because of Mist making coughing sounds and once because of a nightmare (that was 4:12 am, yay), and then again when the alarm went off. Maybe this is contributing to the fatigue.
There's also the depression factor. I've lost the excitement I was feeling about getting my Ideal Bedroom done. Most of that was during the Big Family February-March Birthday Gathering last night. Those gatherings are getting harder and harder and more and more painful. I ended up in tears sharing music with J-hands (she's a massage therapist) and Brother Mark is looking more and more like Wolf when I first met him, only grayer. Ouch.
Now we're under a Winter Storm Warning with 10-15" snow called for by Monday morning. whoo. I foresee shoveling Drama tomorrow morning.
