And I'm still a little surprised at my final answer as it's, well, good.

It also explains why I can afford to get the certification.

Now I'm faced with a dilemma.

On one hand, karate. I made a promise. In front of witnesses.

On the other hand, roller derby. I've never actually BEEN in a competitive sport, I liked skating as a kid, and IDK had fun, so I would come with my own cheering squad.

On the third hand, I have been a mess of knots for YEARS and a massage more often then once a year would be a GOOD thing.

On the fourth hand, with schooling starting next month, saving up what I can NOW can serve me well LATER when I shake the dust from my shoes. The caveat to that is any child support that comes in can be routed to savings.

On the fifth hand,
...
I don't have a fifth hand.

When did I develop OPTIONS?!?

Wait to see what your school workload is going to be like. When I started the RN my work+SCA+school equation broke.

Scheduling is the issue, it seems.

Karate = 1 night a week for 1.5 hours, right after work. This was the schedule IDK and I were on until the September Flood, which the dojo did not escape. I'm not really interested in competing, so those events can be factored out, unless I volunteer to help out, which amounts to 1 4 hour commitment once a quarter or so on a Saturday.

Derby = 2 nights a week for 3 hours, one after work and one Sunday night, not counting bouts wherever, whenever. I would have to do more research on this.

Massage = 1 session every 1-4 weeks depending on cost, 30-60 minutes, which can be scheduled for a lunch hour or on a Saturday in a pinch.

School = Unknown amount of time. You are doing coding so there has to be some amount of memorizing the various DX codes Visit codes and Modifiers.

School = One 4 hour class once a week for 12 weeks, then two 4 hour classes a week for 16 weeks.

Homework = X

mrrrr.

*pokes her head out of hiding*

What are you going to school for? I think I might have missed that post since I'm not online all the time. (Working on and with computers all day means that I try to avoid them as much as possible outside of work and needing them for classes)

I'm not sure what classes you are taking, but all of my classes are 4 credits and run from 5.5 weeks to 11 weeks and I've been taking 2-3 classes at a time while working full time.

Right now, doing just the 2 classes(200 level)/8 credits for 11 weeks and I have about 6 hours of homework a week between the two classes. One of the classes has a 3 hour on campus class meeting once a week and the other class is basically self learn. This information is probably not very helpful, but I just though that I would post my own experiences about 4 credit classes and HW.

Also, on a completely random note: when I'm back in NY for the yule holiday, I plan on going through all my anime and manga and making a list of what I have. I was planning on giving the ones that I don't read or watch anymore away to interested friends. Would you be interested at seeing what I have and if any of it interests you for your collection?

*hugs*

Heather!!! *hugs*

I'm going for a state certification in coding (details in a previous post) It's all online, which is all I can handle with my current job and it looks to be about a 7 month program.

As for the anime/manga OMGPLEASEPLEASEPLEASE!!! I have IDK hooked on InuYasha and Slayers and I'm missing chunks of Lone Wolf and Cub and Hellsing and Utena.

I changed LJ's when I moved out to Colorado. I logged in as my old account and found the entries :) I don't think that you have me added with my new journal.

LJ is something that I try to keep up on(I always read, though my posting has been very sporadic).

I'll be better about keeping in touch and will definitely let you know when I have the lists. :) I also have a mess of fansubbed anime and manga that I need to go though and make lists of, that I will get to you too.

*hugs*
