A quick web search revealed that China, gods love 'em, have synthetic, heat resistant wigs pre-odango'ed for Moon and Chibimoon, for about $30-$40 with shipping. Wig may pose a bit of a problem for Cuteness, as she won't keep ponytails in her hair for very long, but we'll see. I'd make her grow it out and attempt it myself, but her hair is like my father's, which means fine and thin. Only her color comes from Wolf's side of the family.

Boots tend to run in the $60s and up, I'm thinking getting pink rain boots for her and making tops, and red boots for me, ditto tops and/or trim. The good news is I found a website that does all the jewelry at reasonable prices AND the tiaras are REAL metal! They also sell Wonder Woman accessories, if anyone's interested.

I could be totally off here, but knowing my utter lack of sewing skills, I'm wondering if it would be easier to buy sleeveless leotard (Cuteness) and a teddy (Me) and just sew on the rest of the costume. I don't have a dummy or anything like that. I'm going to need help pinning on mine and possibly for Cuteness if she won't hold still.

Zahde! I know what we're going to do after the Garden Project!

I remember a little from my costuming time with Savoyards all those years ago, but not much. However I have seen patterns at Jo-Anns for fabric pseudo-boots for super-hero costumes. I can't remember if they were to be worn over or under shoes. I'll look next time I'm there, but they may only be seasonal.

What do you mean "after the Garden Project"? I don't think gardens are ever done... (Oh well, we can't do much in the garden in winter.)

Speaking of costumes, this the picture you sent me of the costume I'm supposed to be making :Fenik See, tight black pants, not hakama.

I stand corrected. Hum. I might be able to fake that with my work slacks.

And I meant this weekend's Garden Project. You're right that gardens are constant maintenance, but we've planted what we can this year, so all that's left is building the Shrine.

Or make them. That's not a hard pattern.
