Because I take great delight in informing customers when someone has left and I get to listen to them swear as I find out who has the file now? Because I take the same delight in informing customers someone is not here and all I can do is take a message or put them in a voicmail? Because I'll be damned if I let someone talk me out of playing Communications which has been shuffled under Ops? Because I know my ST, thank you very much? Because as far as I'm concerned, blood is not only useful, it is desirable in certain Rituals? Because I'm DMing an eville group? Because I'm enjoying fucking with my characters in the Keep? Because I like to play with daggers? Because I like the scent of blood?

Technically, Comm is under Tactical. Ever notice how it's Worf who's always answering hails? Please try to work with us instead of against us. There are ways to have a communications background and work with languages and the like without having to create a position that became extinct after the original series.

And in DS9 it was Dax, Kira or whomever had conn at the moment. That's all I wanted to do. Not trying to work against you guys nor am I trying to invent anything. I know there's a communications department within Tactical and I wanted to be posted there. If I didn't make sense, I apologize. Just wanted to define the ideal job.
