In other news, Mama A was released Sunday. She's still weak and coughing and has OT (occupational therapy) starting Thursday. I have informed her that she is only to come out if she feels well enough to do so and Looooo agrees. IDK (Indestructo-kiddo) can pick up Cuteness for the rest of this week. How summer vacation will go is up in the air. IDK is going to Zahde in July and Cuteness is not quite old enough to take care of herself all day. I had to explain to her Sunday that it is Not Okay to go knocking on random doors to find someone to play with when your friends aren't available. A well meaning neighbor brought her home. I thanked her and shook her hand. I may have been judged.

Fitbit One is proving to be a little electronic Minder, reminding me to document water intake and log food. I walked over three miles today. I expect to walk between two and three miles a day this week, now that I've moved into the hospital. I suspect I'm not being entirely accurate with the food logs, what I eat doesn't come up in their handy lists as a complete dish, I have to parse it out. Mowgli? Didn't you say there was a way to program a recipe?

Much good news all around! My phone has a health monitoring application in it, and it did allow you to start creating your own list. I did stop using that part after a while as it was sort of annoying. I only use the pedometer now.

I tried to use a pedometer app on my phone and it was killing the battery in 8 hours. The Fitbit hasn't had to be charged yet and I've been using it constantly since Saturday.

Cool! How does it monitor your sleep? Or don't you use it for that?

It has a sleep band you put it in and wrap around your non dominant wrist. I think it tracks movement, I have an average of 11 "restless" instances a night. The super fancy new ones track heart rates, that would be a better sleep monitor.

The only problem with that is I wouldn't be able to wear the thing while sleeping.

Not even if you've been wearing it all day?

I stopped wearing watches quite a while ago. They get in the way of keyboards, particularly laptop keyboards. Or, at least, I find them annoying.
