bloodsong1The job offer came in today, I accepted and sent references and agreed to the background check. My raise should kick in next week. Woot!
In my garden, the peas are still producing, the beans continue to slowly come back, the cucumbers are making palm sized leaves without much else and the basil continues to be alive. I planted two bunches of basil I got at my CSA (hydroponic, huge leaves, I am hopeful) between the recovering beans and the cucumbers. The carrots have teeny feathery leaves, so cute! Also, the wild berry canes along the back fence are going gangbusters with fruit. I picked a double handful and ate them all up with a dusting of sugar, as the kiddos don't like berries. Silly kiddos. OMNOMNOM.
