Simple Abundance Exercise

The tea table is dressed only in a flowered tablecloth. True Blue, in her usual suit, has abandoned her yellow book for a lined notebook and is writing furiously. Sarah walks in.

What are you doing?

True Blue looks up.

"So we're agreed it will be an outdoor ceremony, in a flower garden of some kind, the bouquet will be magick-chosen fresh herbs, our attendants will choose their own dresses within the color scheme, we want a non-traditional dress for the ceremony & a different dress for the reception since our 'First Dance' will be a belly dance." She writes "Buy Egyptian Belly Dance DVD" out loud.

I'm afraid to go into a bridal shop.

"We've got a year," True Blue waves her free hand airily. "Plenty of time. How far do you want to go with a photographer?"

Meaning from prep to final dance down to just ceremony & reception?

"Exactly."

Unless the girls want pictures of prep, I don't see a need for it. I think ceremony & reception are enough. Going to get some disposables too, if they're still being made. Then again, there will probably be cell phones out, so a website to upload would make more sense.

"Good idea." True Blue adds to her list. "Crystal butterflies for the hair, with flowers. You should get a tiara or coronet or something. The cake topper will be that pictogram you got last year, we'll need to find a craftsman."

Good luck with that! I haven't seen a crystal shop anywhere.

"Imagicka?"

Maybe...

"Cake?"

Baked by Camille is gone! Baked Euphoria is a possibility, they did a good job with that Mercedes cake, I suppose we could call.

"Remember taste testing is a must!"

I thought we were trying to lose weight?

"We are down a half pound a week! That's awesome."

I'm thinking it's more eating less then exercising more.

"You're focusing on eating healthy, that helps too. It all adds up."

I don't want to be a Bridezilla over this.

"You won't be. Find a location you love and we can arrange transport for those who need it. There are people in NYC that would LOVE to help. Not so much anywhere else."

Point. I'm going to sleep on this.

"I'll work on the color scheme. Do you still want silver?"

I have no idea.

"We'll work on it."



This is going to be a thing, folks. Wow. Wolf planned our wedding & there were so many compromises on the first one I felt cheated even though I was proud of the money I saved. Either way, I don't have to worry about 3 digits worth of people. If I get sixty I'll be very surprised.

Leah (aka Leviathan from the October Gathering) was Kelly and Patrick's photographer and she is amazeballs. Talk to Kelly about getting in touch with her. They also used a website/app people could download to their smartphones to easily upload pics. I'm not sure how many people used it, though.

Does it really matter who comes? You're entering into a relationship with yourself, based on love and respect. The people to witness are only witnesses. If you took the vows yourselves in the middle of the woods where no one could hear it, they would still be valid and true, beautiful and fine.

That said, quality is much better than quantity. The people who love you will do their utmost to be there. Some people who love you will be unable to come at the last minute, but they will not love you any less.
