Does not have any more broccoli seeds. Sad Panda.

Has excellent compost!

Has some form of bee nesting in the compost bin!

Has the sting to prove it!

Is going to lose her marigolds that she transplanted. Apparently this flower prefers to be clustered together. So be it. When the transplants finally die I will plant more and hopefully will get more marigold flowers before the first frost.

Still has flowering cucumbers.

Still has little carrot fronds doing ABSOLUTELY NOTHING.

Still has live basil, how is this possible?

I feel my first attempt at vegetable gardening has done well, all things considered. We got over two dozen pea pods, about six beans and if the cucumbers and carrots ever start DOING something, we should have a decent harvest. My plans for the rest of the growing season is to turn compost into the ground that was used for growing, mark out an area for a small raised bed or greenhouse and start killing the grass with flagstones and more compost. Also need to kill that one tree, but that will require more then a salt crust. I need serious stump killing stuff. There are many stumps to kill and I can't just burn them because they're ALL next to the house!

I found a free copy of "The $64 Tomato" written by a gardener in New York. I will be reading this over the winter and making plans.

In other news, I am NOT allergic to bee stings, aloe juice works very well at halting the reaction process and I had a lovely dinner out with my hair stylist. We celebrated divorces from dicks and surviving the abuse that comes with it and being stronger for it. Chezzie? Mowgli? She'll be the one doing our hair for my wedding. She's super cool and does a really good job. Start planning!
