Furnace still kaput. Wasn't surprised the part didn't come in on Friday, suffered through the weekend and called this morning. The soonest they could come out and install the part is tomorrow morning.

GRRRRR.

Cuteness and I will be snuggling under my electric blanket tonight.

In other news, the Super Awesome and All Around Great Gal

ursulav agreed to let me be Pastor Drom from Hidden Almanac for Halloween! I was so excited and honored I did a Special Hidden Almanac video and sent it to her. Then I sent it to her husband, as she's having issues. He emailed me back today saying "Thank you very much, you did VERY WELL and we're VERY HONORED."

GLEE!

And now for something completely different.

Jazz-cat escaped tonight after I got home from work. Bolted out the back door, Mama A complained that I didn't listen to her and block off the empty door pane he sailed through like a pro. I went after him and he took off between houses. Not wanting to trespass, I went back to the house, ate some dinner, then grabbed the flashlight and started sweeping. IDK (Indestructo-kiddo) and Cuteness joined me and we walked the block. The kids found him, I heard Cuteness yelling and called out to them. Jazz-cat had made it all the way to Vestal Ave and hissed mightily when the kids caught him. I took him and carried him home, he meowed and flinched and strained against my arms, but we got him in safely.

Then IDK covered the empty panel with a leftover pizza box and duct tape. Queenie is all class.
