Is SO GLAD IT'S SPRING!!!

Has cleared out one of three raspberry plants behind the garage.

Topped off the compost bin with dirt.

Bought new gloves and a saw to cut the bigger branches into burnable chunks.

MADE FIRE! I love fire! So much wood to burn.

Started a Purple Potato Pit (marked out section with paving stones, dug up the grass inside the rectangle, put black plastic down to finish killing weed seeds and the like. We bought purple seed potatoes at Agway. I will plant them next month.)

Watered the broccoli. I may have one sprout. One.

Built a primitive channel of red bricks and black plastic to keep rainwater from flooding the broccoli. It might be too late. We shall see.

Will be planting primroses and peas tomorrow. (^_^)

My back hurts and I smell of wood smoke and I feel SO GOOD! Gods, I've missed this. I have no idea what to make for dinner. Neither does Cuteness and it's just the two of us. There's still leftover pizza, we might just have that. Fish and broccoli tomorrow!

Did you pull the raspberry canes out by the roots? Because they'll just grow back if you only cut them down to ground level. I've been fighting the ones in our yard for three years.

I pulled them out and went into the ground after the roots too. I will kill those canes!
