bloodsong1*yawn* One hour left!
Riding to the restaurant, Dominic reached over and took Luna's hand. She smiled at him.
"This is a nice carriage." She said, stroking the fabric cover. Dominic grinned.
"It belongs to my parents. They like to take rides in the evenings in this and stargaze."
"That sounds like fun. Can we go after dinner?"
"Sure." He laced his fingers through hers. Luna sighed and rested her head on his shoulder. The carriage rolled to a stop.
"Here we are, sir."
"Thank you, Charles." Dominic stood and helped Luna out. Arm in arm, they walked into the restaurant. The greeter escorted them to a quiet table by a window. Dominic took Luna's cloak and held her chair. His mother's lessons in etiquette were coming in handy after all. Luna's shy, warm smiles were making his heart glow. A waiter took their drink order, then they were left alone.
"Have you given any thought to where we're going next?" Luna asked, folding her hands and resting her chin on them. Dominic sat back in his chair.
"Not yet, actually. It's going to be quiet for a few more days, I wanted to enjoy it while it lasts."
"Something bad is coming?" Luna moved her arms when the drinks arrived. They gave their orders and the waiter left again. Dominic sipped his wine.
"Well, Jacob is always up to something. Plus there's the theives that just don't leave me alone."
"You haven't seen anything specific?"
"Honestly? I haven't been looking. Banishing that demon lord took a lot out of me and I felt like a rest." Luna reached over and stroked his hand.
"If there's anything I can do to help..." Dominic captured her hand and kissed it.
"Having you with me is a big help, Luna. You understand theories better then anyone else I know and your ideas are brilliant." Luna smiled brightly.
"I'm glad. You've been so good to me and...I want to see you happy." Dominic smiled and stroked her knuckles.
"I am happy, Luna. Thank you."
