A sad Day in Whooville

I can't say I'm surprised at the results this morning.

Frankly, historical precedence and general dickery from bigots and racists and jerks can and will trump decent progress from time to time. Those who thought the 2000s were just awesome and won't it be great to really get back to the fifties are rejoicing while the rest of us go What The Fuck?!?!

Yes, that IS intentional. Until said bigots and racists and jerks realize they're actually DESTROYING their precious MERUKA!, we who have learned from history will grit our teeth and teach the children quietly.

Fleeing the country won't fix anything. We the Sensible need to stay and educate. Plot and plan. Do our very best to undermine the underminers who blocked minorities from voting. A bloodless civil war is preferable to civilians being run over by tanks. The world will NOT rush to the aid of our internal rebels and freedom fighters. The best we could hope for is "We're very sorry you voted an idiot into office. AGAIN! Just keep him busy within your own borders so he doesn't fuck around with us." More likely would be "You Soooo had this coming."
