Up until 4 am last night reading Labyrinth fan fiction. Good stories will cause me to lose sleep and it's always a good story when Sarah doesn't immediately fall into Jareth's arms.

I wasn't really surprised my dreams starred GK. Actually, they were fun! I got to be the rogue of the party, collecting items and making sure spells were cast the way they should be and I negotiated getting His Nibs back from the kidnappers. I liked my team of four girls better then the four guys I started with, especially when we puppy-piled Jareth when he was released. I was on the outer edge of the group hug, so he conjured up a third arm to hold me. (^_^)

I am going to have Pika's quote stuck in my head for DAYS.

"Eric, you're thirteen stanzas short of a symphony if you think you can out rock ME." Jareth and Eric playing Rock Band.

My dreams this afternoon were about going to a Top Gear taping and flirting with Jeremy Clarkson in the hopes of getting behind the wheel of a Bugatti or a Pagani and flying First Class on British Airways for my 40th birthday.

The seats in First bear a strong resemblance to my dream, including the feeling of secure isolation from all the other passengers and nice bathrooms. Though I suppose for over two grand, they'd better.

Hey, Nomad? Would you be willing to host a Song in three years?

I've had one since yesterday. Yesterday I got through work without being doped up. Had a few rough spots, but I made it.

Today the rough spots started at 9 am. *groan* I doped up and it was gone by 2 pm, so I got to struggle the last 2.5 hours with the migraine trying to take the top of my head off.

SNB was off today, so he made dinner and wrangled kiddos and put them to bed. I slept. And had a horrible anxiety dream of being a Doctor's companion with [livejournal.com profile] kenshardik and we were trapped in this elaborate holographic illusion with a wedding and lots of food that I ate without feeling full. I eventually figured out the illusion, broke it, and discovered I was in a 10x12 room, roughly, with a wonky corner, two curbs that marked a narrowing section that would have been windows if this had been a kind automated nut house and a few shallow closets. One of the shallow closets had a cell phone with a messed up keypad to call Miss...Someone when you were ready to crack.

"I'll call her anyway! You have to be sane to figure this damned phone out," I said and made the call. The robotic voice was pleasantly female who explained I was a test subject. (insert Portal references here). I asked various questions and was told kenshardik had been "swept away" after a week, but most test subjects lasted around three weeks. This was because we weren't actually eating food. All food in the illusion was illusionary. However, in the interest of science, we were being fed. I did not figure out how.

I woke up before I managed to force the voice to tell me kenshardik really wasn't dead.

Yeah.

I managed to eat dinner, which left me queasy, and do some extra homework we were given YESTERDAY after SNB got me a cup of tummy tea.

Zahde just came in, so I'll go visit with her and eventually pay for Dream Chronicles, as it is a fun and pretty puzzle game about fairies and will a nice Mother's Day present to myself. Whoo.
