Things are coming together
Jun. 1st, 2006 06:47 amMost of the decorations are up, the kiddo's room is two thirds together, kitchen, bathrooms and dining room done. Living room still has boxes and our bedroom is full of stuff. But, what can you do?
I get to go to the dentist on Friday. Yay, more unpaid time off. >_< I hate this. I like my job and I feel bad imposing on others to cover for me, but my teeth have declared all out war on my pain receptors and the receptors are barely holding their own with the salt rinses. I didn't do it all weekend and boy am I paying the price. Thankfully, my boss knows a good dentist and I got an early morning appointment. Cross your fingers that they don't give me serious pain drugs, otherwise I'll be soooo hiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiigh!
As it is, I know I'm going to need one tooth extracted, what's left of it anyway, one tooth repaired as it broke in half over a year ago, and about five cavities in various stages that'll need to be filled. At least five cavities.
This is what happens when you can't afford dental work for almost six years and you eat junk food. I brush nightly, but that's really not enough.
Ah well.
In other news, I have made onigiri! *does happy onigiri dance* We picked up a 5 lb bag of sweet rice at the E-Mart, along with these sticky red bean paste cakes that were SO good and big bowls of instant ramen with all the extra bits you don't see in American knockoffs. The ramen was nice, but Wolf can't eat it at work, no place to boil water.
We really, really need to go grocery shopping.
